Riccardo Pasquini

Riccardo Pasquini (Civitavecchia, 1975), diplomato all’Istituto d’Arte e laureato all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, ha vissuto e lavorato in Spagna per 10 anni, gestendo un centro artistico. Dal 2014 opera in Italia tra Civitavecchia e Tolfa con il progetto “Arenanera”. Ha esposto in sedi prestigiose come la Biennale di Roma, il Macro Asilo e il MAXXI, realizzando installazioni, opere pubbliche e performance. Fin da piccolo sono affascinato dai materiali e dal loro cambiamento. Vedo potenzialità ovunque: tutto può avere una seconda vita. Amo il recupero e il riciclo, trasformando oggetti in opere d’arte, dalla pittura alla scultura, fino a installazioni e mosaici. Sono un ricercatore, esploro forme e materiali, dando loro un “secondo respiro”, perché nulla si distrugge, tutto si trasforma.

Riccardo Pasquini (Civitavecchia, 1975), graduated from the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, lived and worked in Spain for 10 years, managing an arts center. Since 2014, he has been working in Italy between Civitavecchia and Tolfa with the “Arenanera” project. He has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Rome Biennale, the Macro Asilo, and the MAXXI, creating installations, public works, and performances. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by materials and their transformation. I see potential everywhere: everything can have a second life. I love saving and recycling, transforming objects into works of art, from painting to sculpture, installations, and mosaics. I am a researcher; I explore forms and materials, giving them a “second breath”, because nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed.

Riccardo Pasquini realizza per Bracciano un’opera che frammenta abbandono e tensione, grazie a una tecnica che destabilizza l’immagine, senza sottrarla alla sua iconica e suggestiva plasticità. In un’epoca d’immagini urlate, l’Artista restituisce la magia del sussurro alla fiaba di Apuleio, rinnovando con linguaggio contemporaneo e inedito, la intima luce che Canova eternò nel marmo.

Riccardo Pasquini creates an artwork for Bracciano that fragments abandonment and tension, thanks to a technique that destabilises the image without depriving it of its iconic and evocative plasticity. In an age of screaming images, the artist restores the magic of the whisper to Apuleius’s tale, renewing the intimate light that Canova immortalised in marble with a contemporary and original language.
