Hanging Thoughts
After being painted, verses of poems written by the artist herself, reflecting on the beauty hidden in the small actions that make up human life, will be embroidered on sheets of cotton, organza and lace. The cloths will be hung from one side of the streets to the other, recalling the idea of hanging cloths that move with the wind. Thus, it is intended to create a site-specific installation inspired by the poetics hidden in the simplicity of everyday actions by connecting it to a personal reflection.
Ungraspable presence of being
The idea is to create a site-specific immersive space that transports the visitor into a suspended dream world, seeking to reintroduce an approach to the light world of memory and childhood. Therefore, a path will be created with sheets of organza, chiffon and cotton; from them, also using the surrounding nature, will be hung, made on the inspiration of the scacciapensieri, handmade works made with wire and mother-of-pearl, organza, colored glass beads and small bells that, with the movement and the consequent noise caused by the wind, will draw attention to the work itself. The sound of the bells also has a metaphorical evocative role, which will also function as a reminder of an intangible but ever-present presence, just like the presence of a memory.
