Robotina è uno studio di animazione creato nel 2019 da Sara Taigher e Yassmin Yaghmai. Le due designer si incontrano nel 2015 per lavorare al corto d’animazione “Black” prodotto da So What e da allora collaborano a numerosi progetti di animazione. Il loro studio Robotina è nato dal desiderio di sperimentare tecniche e stili visivi diversi dal solito. Quando alla fine del 2018 si presenta l’opportunità di collaborare con l’etichetta musicale statunitense Italians Do It Better alla creazione del video musicale “Farah – The Only Ones”, capiscono che era giunto il momento di fondare il loro progetto, creare un sito web e condividere uno spazio insieme. Da allora, Robotina ha diretto e prodotto numerosi spot pubblicitari, video musicali e inserti animati in stile anime, come nella serie Amazon “Bang Bang Baby”. Nel 2023, Robotina dirige il suo primo cortometraggio animato in 3D, “Gravity”, una coproduzione tra Italia e Messico, che riceve nel 2024 il premio Conai presso il Festival Giffoni.
Robotina is an animation studio created in 2019 by Sara Taigher e Yassmin Yaghmai. The two designers met in 2015 to work on the animation short film, “Black”, produced by So What and have, since then, collaborated on a number of animation projects. Their studio, Robotina, is born out of the desire to experiment with unusual techniques and visual styles. When they were met with the opportunity to collaborate with the US music label, Italians Do it Better for “Farah – The Only One” music video in 2018, they understood it was the moment to establish their project, create their website and share their space with others. Since then, Robitina has directed numerous adverts, music videos and anime-style animation inserts, such as the Amazon series “Bang Bang Baby”. In 2023, Robotina directs its first 3D animated short film, “Gravity, a Italian-Mexican coproduction, winner of the 2024 Conai prize at the Giffoni Film Festival.
