Paavo Halonen
Paavo Halonen (Enonkoski, Finland, 1974) works on his works with recycled materials. "I come from Enonkoski (Finland), a small rural parish. My roots appear in my work; the materials I use are often collected from the lakeshore. However, even though I return to my birthplace in my work, I filter it through the rich cultural layers. My exhibition philosophy is to look for interesting spaces and make these entities natural and holistic."

ECCE AVIS (Diorama II)
Cornucopian Dioramas are depicted in the artist's studio. The works continue to transform in the viewer's imagination. The work speaks of hope and rebirth through nature. Birds, which according to Finnish mythology play the essential role of spokespersons between the living and the ancestors, are a central part of the installation. As a work, Ecce Avis is an ever-growing living still life.
