Nanna Susi

Nanna Susi (1967) is one of the most successful painters in Finland. Susi's art has been interpreted in different styles: expressionism, colorism. Susi calls herself a painter of emotions. She sees emotions as a form of intelligence. In her works, the horizon and the vertical meet. "It's good to look as far as the eye can reach. Consciousness and emotions are an endless construction site. Every moment, they shape the foundation of our mind and heart."

Susi made three paintings depicting women sitting on chairs. Each is holding a rosary. In the background, a laundry line can be seen. Roses, stars and warmth have absorbed into the tablecloths. Dreams and worries are present; yesterday, today and tomorrow. The rosary is a red thread of faith and trust. Concentration, beauty and daily spirituality are experienced.
