Riccardo Pasquini
Riccardo Pasquini (Civitavecchia, 1975), a graduate of the Art Institute and a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, lived and worked in Spain for 10 years, running an art center. Since 2014 he has been working in Italy between Civitavecchia and Tolfa with the "Arenanera" project. He has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the Rome Biennale, Macro Asilo and MAXXI, making installations, public works and performances. Since childhood I have been fascinated by materials and their change. I see potential everywhere: everything can have a second life. I love recovery and recycling, turning objects into works of art, from painting to sculpture to installations and mosaics. I am a researcher, exploring forms and materials, giving them a "second breath," because nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed.

Metamorphosis
The installation pays homage to a 17th-century sculpture, reinterpreting it in a contemporary key with wire mesh and painted figures amid transparencies and revelations. The Artist enhances the Baroque tension of the forms and the look of understanding between Venus and Adonis, evoking the Ovidian myth. As in the original work, the figures seduce the viewer, guiding him to the unveiling point of perspective.
