Bracciano
Art
Week
Contemporary Bloom
The first edition of BAW, held this year in conjunction with the Jubilee, celebrates a renewed cultural focus on contemporary art with the theme Contemporary Bloom. Bracciano Art Week aims to transform the Historic Center of Bracciano into a space for exhibitions and diffuse experiences, involving the city's historic places in an innovative cultural event to become an Italian point of reference for contemporary
art, with contributions from institutions, professionals and artists from Italy and abroad. Bracciano, strategically located in Central Italy, is a natural point of attraction for visitors from all over the world, in synergy with Rome's existing cultural offerings. "Contemporary Bloom" will present installations integrated into the urban fabric, sculptural, visual, multimedia, literary and sound art works. Bracciano Art Week is designed to be accessible and usable to different types of audiences.

Art Direction
Maria Ludmila Pustka
Master Restorer and Chief Restorer of the Restoration Laboratory of the Vatican Museums, where she has been passionately working as a restorer for more than thirty years. Roman by birth, she trained under the guidance of her master and predecessor at the helm of the Laboratories, Gianluigi Colalucci. From Classical Studies to Restoration, she specialized in the field of Paintings, working in Naples, Padua and then Rome. Here she is entrusted, under the direction of Francesco Buranelli, with the restoration of the entire Cycle of the Quattrocentisti in the Sistine Chapel with frescoes depicting the Stories of the Old and New Testament by Perugino, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Cosimo Rosselli on the occasion of the Jubilee Celebrations of 2000. She then directed the Restoration of Pinturicchio's Appartamento Borgia, which became her passion, for the historical themes and technical peculiarities that led her to develop innovative methodologies applied in restoration. The subject matter and Biotechnology then become part of her sustainability-oriented professional background. It will then be the management and methodological complexity of large sites that will be her great challenge, with the Restoration of the Complex of the Sanctuary of the Holy Staircase in Rome, the Gallery of the Geographical Maps, the Candelabra, the Hall of Constantine in the Raphael Rooms and the paintings of the Vatican Pinacoteca, under the Direction of Antonio Paolucci. The exclusive realization of the Restoration of Michelangelo's "The Conversion of Paul" in the Pauline Chapel in the Vatican Apostolic Palace crowns her love for 'art and conservation based on the transmission of the values it conveys.
It is then the values in which she believes that guide her in the dissemination of Italian culture in the London period. London leads her to become fascinated with the understanding of 'Contemporary Art, through direct confrontation with the different artists and techniques that will open the way to the desire to promote events curated by her particularly in London and in her beloved Bracciano on the outskirts of Rome on the shores of the lake of the same name.
